HISTORIAHISTORY
Hervé Hachuel is a producer, writer and director. He received his education in Israel and attended Brooks Institute Film School in Santa Barbara, California, and New York University Film School.
In the early 80ies, as an employee of Twentieth Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles, he worked on films such as “Unfaithfully Yours”, directed by Howard Zieff; “The Star Chamber”, directed by Peter Hyams; “Kidco”, directed by Ron Maxwell.
Since 1983 he is serving as executive chairman of Tesauro s.a., a company producing motion pictures, TV shows, and commercials with offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
In 1983 Hervé Hachuel produced Pedro Almodovar’s first international success “What Have I Done to Deserve This?!”
In 1996, following the mentoring of Antonio Banderas’s move to Los Angeles, Hervé Hachuel co-produced “Of Love and Shadows”, the first US motion picture in which Banderas played a leading role along with Jennifer Connelly. The picture was distributed by Warner Bros.
In 2001 Hachuel hired Leonor Watling for her first leading role in a TV series, “Raquel Busca su Sitio”, which lead to Pedro Almodovar casting her as the lead in his Academy Award winning film “Talk to Her”.
Currently Hachuel is developing “20 Shekels” a comedy set in Jerusalem, and to be directed by noted French director Arthur Joffé.
